Inter and Desportivo are two of the four finalists on MUPC u15

With different campaigns, the team from Rio Grande do Sul and Manchesters United’s partner in Brazil advanced to the final four, to represent Brazil in England

Two great but different classical matches decided the semifinals of the Manchester United Premier Cup Group 1, Brazil stage. First, the major clubs in Rio Grande do Sul, Inter and Grêmio decided one of the four finalists.

The Internacional won on penalty shootout (10 – 9 for Inter). The word part of it is that Inter advanced to the final four with only one win and one single goal scored, but its attacker Gabriel.

Later two business teams confronted each other to decide the other one to advance. Audax-SP, from major supermarket group Pão de Açúcar, who made it to professional São Paulo State First Division this year, and Desportivo Brasil, managed by Traffic and with a huge partnership with Manchester United.

The best team in the tournament so far, Desportivo Brasil won 1 – 0 and maintained its 100% campaign, winning all four games and scoring six goals (have in mind that games are shortened).

Now they wait for Group 2 (Atlético-MG, Bahia, Botafogo, Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Fluminense, Goiás and Vitória, who will begin its games tomorrow, to decide the other two finalists and then finally decide Brazil’s representative on world stage, which will take part in England, as usual.

Last year Santos took part representing Brazil, but was eliminated in the semifinals by Gamba Ozaka. The last Brazilian team to win the tournament was São Paulo, with now Chelsea (on loan to Málaga) Lucas Piazón.
