Youngster cutted of Brazil’s u20 after being caught on antidoping exam

Attacker from Fluminense tested positive for cocaine and will not take part in the National Squad that will spend 30 days playing friendlies and international cups

The young prospect from Fluminense, Michael, will not be part of Brazil’s u20 delegation that will play a series of friendly matches and even a Cup in Brazil, France and Switzerland.

The 20 years old offensive was tested positive for cocaine on an antidoping exam made in early April, after Fluminense 2 – 0 win over Resende. Michael scored once in that game.

Despite Fluminense’s loss to Botafogo this weekend, that costed the Tricolor Carioca the chance to dispute the Rio de Janeiro State Championship great final, the youngster was showing a great form. He scored four goals in seven games and was considered first option for the team, only after Fred.

His participation on under 20 tournaments and friendlies with the National Team could be a large first step to be part of the Olympic Team that will play on Rio de Janeiro 2016.

The player have confessed that he made use of the drug three days before the surprise test. Fluminense declared it will give all support and treatment for its promising attacker.

With this situation, coach Alexandre Gallo decided to take Michael off his list of players for Brazil u20. He have not yet said if there will be a replacement for the position.
